Uddrag fra opgaven
This paper investigates the impact of the two Russian revolutions in 1917 on the political relations in Russia/soviet from 1917 to 1945. Also, the paper investigates how the Russian revolution progressed before, under and after in George Orwell’s novel Animal Farm by analyzing Orwell’s novel, focusing on genre, style and satire. This paper also analyzes the impact on history, when someone chooses to actively change our understanding about the past to make it fit into their perspective of the present. This is done by investigating how falsification of pictures or document has impacted the understanding and belief in Animal Farm, which draws parallels to real events in the Russian history. In the last part of the analysis, a speech held by Lenin is compared to a speech held by the character Old Major in the novel. This paper discusses Orwell’s message in the novel by finding his motive for writing in the essay Why I Whrite and compare it to the historical events, which has occurred up until the day George Orwell released his book. This paper discusses Animal Farm’s real name and reasons to change it. Also, the paper investigates the strengths and weaknesses of literature by including articles and the Danish critique Georg Brandes.
Finally, the paper concludes the essence of the political relations from 1917 to 1945 as the path from a hierarchy, with a tsar as the monarch, to the expectation of an equal society which resolved in communism. The paper also concludes the fact that Orwell tries to make us believe that communism is not the way to build a new Europe after world war two and the fact that we as humans shall divide the power of our country more, so we do not end up in a situation, where one man holds the future of the country in his hands.
